Tom Holkenborg was born Antonius Holkenborg in Lichtenvoorde, Netherlands on 8 December 1967.

Junkie XL “officially” became a solo project when Rudeboy left the group after the “Big Sounds Of The Drags” album.

In 2003 Tom moved from Amsterdam to focus on writing and composing music for video games and films. He’s often working together with Oscar-winning composer Hans Zimmer for new movie scores, but also works solo on new material
