Swedish actress and singer, born 15 March 1907 in Karlstad, Sweden and died 23 June 1981 in Stockholm, Sweden. She was married to Arne Hülphers from 1956 to his death in 1978.
Marlene Dietrich left Germany for the USA with Josef von Sternberg in 1930, after the latter had filmed The Blue Angel, the first German talkie, and was replaced by Zarah Leander, who became the biggest female star during the period 1930-45.
