About Reeperbahn

Swedish pop / punk / rock group that was active in the years 1977–1984.
The band started in the waves of punk in 1977 and initially used the group names Rotten Group and Lesbian Hardcore. During this first shorter period time also Janne Andersson, Jörgen Larsson and Björn Ådén was in the band. It was 1978 that the group started for real. One of the earliest recordings with Reeperbahn is Sveriges Radio’s recording from Långholmsparken in June 1978, where the band plays songs that had been scrapped just in time for the LP debut the following year.
Reeperbahn also appeared in the film “G – som i gemenskap” as the fictional band Nürnberg 47, where they performed the song Hundarna brinner, as well as a cover of Venus in Furs.
